Jamarama Live! is a nationally touring kids music
fest that will appeal to every member of the family. When it lands at Orpheum
Theater, it brings such top kid acts as Lazytown, Buck Howdy, Ralph's World,
Farmer Jason, Miffy, Mymo and many more.
LazyTown is a cartoon world-come-to-life that may sound lazy, but in truth is
action-packed and inspires kids to THINK (first), MOVE (more) & GO...farther.
Buck Howdy performs with a toothy grin and a
mischievous wink and whether he's singing one of his original tunes, or leading
the crowd in a rollicking "Hokey Pokey", everything he does is as tasty as a
campfire S'more.
Ralph's World is the musical place in the Disney universe where little guys and
gals and their folks can rock rock rock and sing sing sing along, without
overdosing on sucrose, which was created by indie rocker and songwriter Ralph
Covert.
Make sure to get to the venue early to catch the special interactive lobby
performance of internationally acclaimed Farmer Jason, the "identical twin
brother" (wink wink) of alternative country legend Jason Ringenberg (Jason and
the Scorchers).
But the performances are only the beginning. An
accompanying, interactive festival includes a coloring floor for kids, a
“tattoo” booth, karaoke kiosks, hair and face painting, storytelling, videos and
a whole lot of costumed characters.
That list includes such wacky-but-friendly figures
as Moose A. Moose, a sort of “tour guide” to all the fun activities.
There’s even a health component – the My Gym Children's Fitness Center is
guaranteed to get the young ones up and moving and dancing to an animated music
video.
