Overview:

Boston Children’s Day at the Harborfest lets kids take over the City Hall Plaza for a day of fun, fun, fun. Kids get to have their faces painted, and offers a bit of interactive education that both children and parents will love.

Part of the enjoyment of the day is that the event celebrates adventure.

Delving into the cultural heritage of the city might sound like a yawn to some kids, but the way this one makes them part of the action keeps it entertaining and lively.

Kids will learn the significance of the Fourth of July holiday and why it’s important.

Providing some interesting perspective will be a costumed British Army officer, who explains what life was like during the time of Independence, from the British point of view.

This offers kids a new twist on something they’ve heard about in school, making it fresh and different while still helping them learn about our great country.

The New England Aquarium and the USS Constitution Museum will be on hand as well to provide kids with a chance to learn new things about the city. Juggling, music, balloon fun, and more—be sure to take the kids to this festive day.
