Date: May 14
Time:
1pm
Cost: $20-$25

Overview:

Kids love the Ducklings Day Parade, an annual tradition for many parents and kids in and around Boston. What is yellow, fuzzy and sounds like a duck?

Well today, it may be your child. That’s right. Dress your kid to the ducky nines and head to Boston Common for the annual celebration of Robert McCloskey’s book Make Way for Ducklings.

Children of all ages get a little quackey as they choose their favorite character from the book and show off their best impersonation.

Be sure to arrive early. Parade registration starts at noon and with hundreds of little ducklings and their parents participating each year, there is sure to be a crowd.

Start the parade just across from the State House and get ready for a full day of fun! Although your children are the highlight of the parade, the procession will be led by the Harvard University Marching Band and continue on through historic Boston neighborhoods.

This fun, family event is filled to the brim with excitement, music to get you grooving and ducky door prizes and, of course, refreshments. So grab your little duckling and waddle your way to Boston Common this Mother’s Day.
