Overview:
The Dragons and Fairies attraction, at the Boston Children's Museum, is a magical place, where different aspects of modern day life in Viet Nam are interwoven with the presentation of centuries-old folktales.

This enchanting exhibit provides a wealth of hands-on, interactive learning regarding the daily experiences and culture of the Vietnamese people.

Meant to entertain as well as educate, the stories are presented in kid-friendly style that will engage young minds and provide some memorable moments to fondly recall.

Some of the stories of Dragons and Fairies include “The Story of One Hundred Eggs,” about a king dragon and his wedding to a fairy;

“The Legend of the Rice Cakes,” which describes a contest to win favor of the

emperor; and “The Story of the Betel and Areca Nut,” which explains why betel leaves, areca nuts, and limestone are presented to a bridegroom’s family. While this faraway land may seem to be another universe, these tales illustrate that we are all of one family and one spirit. Bring home the message that it’s indeed a small world by taking your kids to this fun and lively exhibit.
