Stone Zoo is located in nearby Stoneham, Massachusetts, and has been
delighting visitors for more than 100 years. It’s a small zoo – only
26 acres – by is home to a huge variety of animals that are a
combination of both traditional zoo animals and more exotic species.
Like many zoos, this one is divided
into different habitats or eco-systems. Visitors can explore the
Canadian North Woods in Yukon Creek, where they’ll find lynx,
reindeer and bald eagles.
Windows to the Wild features a variety
of small birds, mammals, and primates from around the world.
Kids will love the jaguars, cougars, coyotes, and Gila monsters
at Stone Zoo’s Treasures of the Sierra Madre and the snow leopards of the Himalayan
Highlands.
