Plimoth Plantation, located about 40 miles south of Boston, is a
replica village indicative of the way life was in 17th century
Plymouth, Massachusetts. Famous as the site where the Pilgrims
landed in the New World, this Plantation allows visitors of all ages to experience a unique
living history museum.
Guests can walk through the 1627
Pilgrim Village and chat with costumed characters going about
their everyday lives or can climb aboard the Mayflower II, a
replica of the ship that brought the Pilgrims to Massachusetts.
If you prefer, you can visit the Crafts Center to watch skilled
artisans make clothing and furniture, visit the Wampanoag Native
American homesite, or make a stop at Nye Barn to visit the
livestock that live there.
During several occasions
throughout the year, visitors will have the opportunity to dine with
the Pilgrims. You might even get to eat your entire meal with your
fingers! On days when special meals aren’t scheduled, however,
guests can grab a quick bite to eat at the onsite Visitors Center at Plimoth Plantation.
