Drumlin Farm is a wonderful place for parents and kids to escape the
noise and commotion of Boston and enjoy a day outside in the fresh
country air. Located in Lincoln, Massachusetts, this farm is managed
by the Massachusetts Audubon Society and provides a look at a real
working farm.
Kids will enjoy visiting the farm
animals that live here, including pigs, sheep, goats, chicken,
and a variety of woodland creatures like owls and rabbits.
During much of the year, weather permitting, Drumlin Farm also
offers 15-minute hayrides that give visitors a good overview of
the farm and its facilities.
Special programs are abundant. Naturalists are on hand each day
to chat with visitors about the animals, nature, and
agriculture.
During the spring and summer months, a
variety of special activities, perfect for children, are offered
several times each day on both weekdays and weekends. A seasonal
farm stand is set up onsite and a small gift shop offers souvenirs.
