The Charles River is the body of water that separates Boston from
neighboring Cambridge, Massachusetts. The river runs through much of
the Boston vicinity and its suburbs, providing recreational activity
for both residents and visitors.
In the Boston area, many visitors
take the opportunity to see the city from a unique viewpoint on
the river, including sightseeing tours on riverboats or other
fun vessels, like the Duck Tours amphibious vehicles. Boat
charters are also available along the Charles River, so family’s
can embark on their own journey or go out for a bit of fishing.
There are plenty of recreational activities that can be enjoyed
on this river as well. Canoeing and kayaking are quite popular
and visitors may choose an independent trip or take a
guided tour through the many outfitters that offer such excursions.
Paddling down the river will give you a good view of the wildlife
that makes its homes on the banks.
