Cape Cod, Massachusetts is one of those simply stunning locations where you could spend weeks with your family and never tire of the scenery. Located about 100 miles from Boston and offering a welcome respite from the city, the National Seashore here is about 70 miles long but offers hundreds of miles of beach on both the Bay and Atlantic Ocean sides of the peninsula.

Families will want to head straight for the sand, which is warm and welcoming yet cooled by the breezes that come in off the water. It can get rather crowded here during peak season so plan accordingly.

The towns along the Cape are also full of wonderful stores, eateries, lots of ice

cream shops, and provide plenty of activities to keep the whole family happy.

Many of the towns are also quite artsy and bohemian, and it’s wonderful to stroll down the streets of these Cape Cod gems and take in the art galleries touting works by both regional and national artists.
